The annual gala was very well attended at Wilson Park on Saturday 19th June and everyone had great fun raising a total of £1701.23.  A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the event with a special mention to the FoHS who organised eveything prior to the event and to all those who generously donated prizes and spent money on the day. The money raised will pay for the school transport to the Christmas Theatre trip to Lancaster and subsidise educational visits during the year.

Millom Mayor and Mayoress, Doug and Fee Wilson opened the event  on behalf of the school and crowned the Gala Queen 2010 who was attended by her royal family and attendants.

Friends of Haverigg School (FoHS) is a group of willing parents who take responsibility for organising  fund raising events and help with school activities such as Disco, Gala or Sports Day refreshments.
Mrs Coulson, Mrs Woodhead, Ms Hessells, Mrs Vickers, Mrs Irwin regularly meet to plan ideas for the children to have fun whilst raising money for new resources. Last year £1200 contributed to the new playground.
Anyone who would like to join the group would be made most welcome.
