Who are FoHS?|
Friends of Haverigg School (FoHS) is a committee of volunteer parents who raise funds for use within Haverigg Primary School.
The committee consists of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Members who meet approximately every 6 weeks to discuss fund raising activities/organise events. There are also many people who do not attend the meetings but can be relied upon to help at events.
Recent fund raising activities, which you or your child/children may have contributed to include Film Nights; Discos; Autumn Gala; Refreshments at Sports day; Raffle tickets at the School's Christmas Performance's. Future events include Christmas presents; Christmas Cards; Colection of recycling material.
These funds have been used to provide transport for the Summer term school trips; Donation of £1000 to the school for instant access to support ongoing learning activities; £300 towards new reading books for KS1. The committee has also committed £300 for some new lights and stands for the Hall; an educational visit by a Geologist for Year 6; Transport costs for the December trip to the theatre in Lancaster; outdoor storage equipment.

On behalf of FoHS, I would like to thank all our volunteers who help at events, attend meetings, take on the organisation of a specific fund raising activity or come forward with new and innovative fund raising ideas and, of course, a thank you to the parents/guardians who continue to support the activities.
New members or volunteers would be most welcome, with additional representation needed for Year 3, 4 and 6 and Reception class. (Also, some Committee Members are coming up to "retirement" as their children finish their time at Haverigg School.)
