75% achieved Level 5 in English, 25% in Maths and 50% in Science which are above average results for pupils and the school.

What an excellent start to your secondary education...good luck in future and maintain your positive attitude. Remember to say 'Thank you for Friday Writing!'

Learning from 'People who help us'

|

When Mrs Barker was classteacher she arranged for several visitors to share information about their jobs to help the children learn.
Mrs Lowery brought Tina the Lamb into class. She told the children about looking after the farm and all its animals. The children found out that the lamb needed lots of care and attention to help it survive without its Mum. She had lots of cuddles from the children.

Keiley French is a Paramedic and used to be a pupil at Haverigg Primary School. She  came in on her day off to talk to the children about ther job and about all the equipment she uses and what it is used for. The children were very interested and asked lots of important questions. Keiley was very impressed by the children's concentration and involvement.

Megan's Mum is a Chef so she talked to the children about preparing healthy  tasty  meals. She even spent time beforehand making a poster to help the children learn how to make a balanced meal.
